Whats going on is a new world that people rely on the machine. They can’t live on the surface of the world so they have to live in cells underground. It has two main characters a mom and son. He tells her that he has visited the surface of the Earth without permission, and without the life support apparatus supposedly required to endure the toxic outer air, and that he saw other humans living outside the world of the Machine. This machine later turns into a deity of sorts where people actually worship it.

I really don’t agree with this vision of the future. To me this is like what if the world went bad and machines took over. It is very unrealistic here is no way we are going to be living in cells and worshiping a machine. To me the future will be better, not jail. We will have freedoms to do what we want and enjoy everything about our lives.  We won’t have to use breathing machines to go outside either. The future is going to be based on how technology is expanding. Technology is made to benefit mankind not hurt us so the future will be a better place. Im sure there will be more machines and it obviously wont be perfect but the world wont be as torturous as it is portrayed in this story. The way the author makes the future seem is actually scary and not a world I would like to live in.

My topic is education in the future. I think that education in the future will be all electronical and no paper products will be used. All papers will be submitted via dropbox, Class will be held over skype like programs so there will be no formal meeting as well. The medium I intend on using will be video. I would like to make a video of an ad for a school and show off the wonders of our school. We would emphasize on how technologically advanced we are and even in the new age we are still the leader in education and technology.

In today’s world privacy is hard to define. You can’t be private any more. With computers and online stuff somehow someone knows everything about you.  I think privacy should be that people only put information out that they want to be out there.

I didn’t think I shared much information on facebook. I never gave my number out, didn’t give my address. Just two weeks ago I was looking on my facebook settings and found out that my cell phone number was on there. I couldn’t think of how it got on there but then I remembered it asked for my number as a form of password recovery. I didn’t know that they would be putting the information on my wall. I don’t want anyone who looks up my name to have my contact information people already can get your email just by how you log in.

One of the scariest things I’ve seen is was the website shown in class. My dad works for a pretty secured plant and our phone number isn’t even in the phonebook. I looked his name up and all of our information was on there.  It had our address the apartment complex my dad owns and our river house. All had the exact number of occupants as well. I didn’t pay but it said they had both of my parent’s salaries. That is very scary that they can have all of that information eve from someone who is not even in the phone book.

Anyone who is worried about their privacy.

In todays world no one can be completely private, he agrees.

The CSO article about stealing a dead mans shopping card. He is saying even when your dead your privacy can still be taken away.

The last paragraph has some ethos and pathos when he is talking about how business will have to change. an example of ethos is the sentence that starts with "If companies remain complacent..."

I would say yes it is a very factual article written in the Harvard Business Review which is a credible service. It is only 3 years out of date so it still is relatively modern, and very comprehensive as long as your are mildly knowledgeable of the topic.

We hear about how grand theft auto is corrupting today’s youths. With a game based on all violence and unethical decisions it is not something for children to be playing.  We can’t expect our children to just know what it is actually doing to their subconscious.

With grand theft auto we are training our children to kill. The government has spent millions of dollars on training to people to become less skittish on killing someone with simulations like this games. According to Beck “ They trained on the great-grandfather of video games.”

I think that it was a very biased clip. He left out that you are supposed to be 18 and older when you by the game where he made it out to be 8u year olds playing it. He also made it seem like they were trying to brain wash children into murdering. This game hasn’t been out for more than ten years and if it was so crucial to making people kill why didn’t he use a statistic on that. Kit was very opinionated with no hard data other than the military information which was just related but never solidly linked.

The Age of Music Piracy Is Officially Over
That so many people are stealing music now.
The purpose is to inform you how stealing music is not needed.
She breaks it into three reasons and says that music can be used on all terms now and Itunes no longer restrics, she says that you are supporting your band with every download, and she is saying how cheap it is to download.
It says that I should buy music instead of taking it.

1)      When I was at home I would pirate music all the time. I have an ipod with over 2000 songs and I’d be lying if I said I spent 100$ on it.
2)      I know it is illegal but they don’t enforce it if you stay under a certain limit.
3)      You either pirate music or don’t there is no really middle ground.
4)      I think its fine. Itunes is now 1.30 and why spend that when you can take just as long convering a song from youtube. I think it is wrong though when people are making CD’s and selling them for a profit.
5)      It is stealing of others property.

Today I looked at Stephan guendarts facebook. He is portraying a military person. The content is posted because he is in his service uniform. The ads were about the tech wake forest game. It also has a Ad for Battlefield 3 which makes sense because he enjoys playing video games.  For the tech ad it says Va Tech vs. Wake forest with Tech on top asserting dominance. On the side it says who will win. Making you interested in the game.  It would be on his facebook because he is a tech student and goes to every game.

I feel as though Facebook is a horrible thing. I have had a Facebook for around four years and I have to admit it is very convenient but if you were to compare pros and cons, you would have a lot more cons. Facebook knows more about you than your parents might. It looks at your web history and saves things about you for ten years. Many job company’s these days will lo0k at your Facebook, you may have thought you deleted all your pictures with some red solo cups but Facebook remembers how so and so tagged you in it. The only way for Facebook to stop tracking you is to use a different web browser like Firefox from internet explorer. It is very scary and even if you “delete” your account it’s still there. There is no way to completely eliminate your history. Basically Facebook is the biggest creep in the world because it can find just about anything about you out.

1)     1 For my analysis I chose the Jenifer Aniston sex tape.
1)       2Throughout the course of this ad they use lots of other videos ideas and fill them into theirs. For example they use ideas of puppies from Cottonelle commercials, they use the double rainbow video, and they use the idea of the Mac guy.
1)     3 It gains the attention of the audience through humor.
4 By using the title “Jenifer Aniston Sex Tape” they are using sex appeal.
1)    5  The audience is people who are into health since it is smart water. Smart water is for people who need extra electrolytes with their water.
6 You have to assume people can use the internet because it is an ad on the internet.
1)     7 You associate this video with all of the videos they use in their ad. When you see a Mac commercial you will think of Mac but also that funny commercial that used their idea for smart water.
1)     8 They use youtube as their distribution method.
